There were several Greek goddesses associated with fertility including Demeter (harvest/agriculture), Aphrodite (sexuality/procreation), Hera (childbirth/marriage), and Gaia (our Mother Earth).
This piece is not about one particular goddess, but rather this idea that creation and nurturance (in it’s many forms) are sacred and powerful.
It is also meant to serve as a reminder that this place we all come from should command reverence and remind us of common ground.
Signed, varnished, and finished with an ornate gold frame. Canvas measures 14”x18” and frame measures 20”x24”.
